Upgrade Hard Drive

• 1). Turn your laptop off and unplug any cables connected to your laptop.
  
  
• 2). Turn your laptop upside down and position it so the side that opens up is facing you.
  
  
• 3). Locate the battery in the upper-right corner. Push the battery-release latch, located below the left side of the battery, to the left to disengage the battery from the laptop. Lift and remove the battery.
  
  
• 4). Remove the two hard drive screws just below the right side of the battery bay, along the edge of the laptop. The hard drive bay is located on the back-right edge of your laptop. Carefully pull the hard drive out of the hard drive bay.
  
  
• 5). Slide the new hard drive into the hard drive bay and screw in the two screws that fasten the hard drive to the laptop.
  
  
• 6). Slide the battery back into the battery bay and press down on it to lock it into place.
  
  

Upgrade Memory

• 1). Turn your laptop off and unplug any cables connected to your laptop. Turn your laptop upside down and position it so the side that opens up is facing you. Locate the battery in the upper-right corner. Push the battery-release latch, located below the left side of the battery, to the left to disengage the battery from the laptop. Lift and remove the battery.
  
  
• 2). Unscrew and remove the two screws on the left side of the memory module cover, located just below the left side of the battery bay. Lift and remove the memory module cover.
  
  
• 3). Push the clips on each short side of the memory module gently away from the module until they stop. The memory module will slowly tilt upward at a 45-degree angle. Lift and remove the memory module. Insert the new memory module and push the clips inward to lower the memory module into place.
  
  
• 4). Replace the memory module cover and screw in the two screws on the left side to secure it to the laptop.
  
  
• 5). Slide the battery back into the battery bay and press down on it to lock it into place.
