The Fiji islands are a popular honeymoon destination due to the romantic seclusion of many of its resorts. Fiji is located in the South Pacific between Tahiti and Australia and consists of 333 islands, most of them uninhibited. Many of the resorts offer elaborate villas and bures, or huts made of wood and straw, for honeymooners to stay in that are tucked between swaying coconut or palm trees and overlook pristine beaches. - Beqa Island offers plenty of adventure for honeymooners, including deep-sea fishing, scuba diving, shark-feeding dives and whitewater rafting. Shop at the Arts Village boutiques and handicraft shops. The Beqa Lagoon is a popular dive site with both soft and hard corals. Hikers can trek through the tropical forest and see patches of sweet potatoes, pineapples and taro root, as well as tropical flowers and waterfalls. The Beqa Lagoon Resort features 25 deluxe bures among the tropical landscape and 12 beachfront bures with large sundecks and private plunge pools. The Lalati Resort and Spa has two honeymoon villas, five oceanfront villas and sea view cottages. The resort offers honeymooners a private picnic for two on Storm Island, an uninhabited island. The Royal Davui is situated in the Beqa Lagoon and is an exclusive adults-only private island atop a living barrier reef. It offers 16 villas with views of the lagoon from the terrace.
- Taveuni is known as Fiji's Garden Isle for its lush vegetation. Besides enjoying the beaches, guests can visit the waterfall in Bouma National Heritage Park or hike on the Lavena Coastal Walk. - This may be the choice for honeymooners that want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Guests can lounge by the beach, go backpacking, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, exploring in the famous Yasawa-I-Lau Caves or visit the local villages. Nanuya Island Resort offers four deluxe villas amid swaying coconut palms and eight traditional tree house bures nestled on the hillside overlooking the lagoon. Yasawa Island Resort has 18 luxury bungalows surrounded by palms that are just a few feet from the beach.
- The Matangi Island Resort is on an island in the north of Fiji. It features three treehouse bures and 11 beachfront bures. The treehouse bures each have a private outdoor river rock shower and overlook the sea.
