Graffiti Party

• Hosting a graffiti party is a simple and inexpensive way for college students to have fun, even those on a tight budget. All guests, female and male, are required to wear a white T-shirt or tank top and jeans. In addition to beverages, the host should provide each party-goer with a few colorful Sharpie pens. Then, guests socialize and enjoy drinks while "autographing" each other's white T-shirts. As the night goes on, the writing gets more fun. This theme is also a great ice-breaker. • Literature of the 1920s is a popular course at many colleges and universities. Translate the classroom into the nightlife by hosting a Great Gatsby-themed party. Flapper dresses in bright colors are fun to wear, and women can don bobbed wigs -- as the bob hairstyle was "all the rage" in the 1920s. Guys will have fun impersonating the debonair Gatsby in a sharp-looking hat and three-piece suit. Serve classic prohibition drinks such as "moonshine" or "bathtub gin." Ugly Sweater Party

• Hosting an ugly sweater party, especially during the holiday season, is a perfect relief from cocktail parties and other formal gatherings. Guests are required to find the ugliest holiday sweater they can (and there are always plenty to choose from) and wear it to the party. Bulky, patterned and brightly colored sweaters are usually good bets. A sweater displaying Rudolph, Santa or battery-operated musical ornaments is sure to be a great conversation starter. • Just as it sounds, "the morning after" is something that many college students experience. Turn this embarrassing spectacle into a fun night out, and have guests wear classic "morning after" outfits. Girls might wear over-sized T-shirts, shorts and high heels -- and don't forget to smudge your makeup and muss your hair. Guys can don wrinkled party attire and go barefoot. • No college experience is complete without attending at least one toga party. However, don't be boring -- have a modern Toga Party. Guests are required to wear togas ... with one catch. The fabric they wrap themselves in cannot be white. Let your imagination run wild: Toga! Toga!
