Do Supplements to Lose Weight Work?

Weight loss supplements that come in the form of a pill or liquid will always be popular.
Everyone wants a miracle pill to lose weight without having to actually workout.
I personally do not believe in weight loss products and feel most of them are a scam.
Many people have achieved success using some sort of strength training system to hlep aid in fat loss.
A majority of weight loss supplements contain stimulants that are used as there main ingredient such as caffeine, guarana, yerba mate, ephedra (banned in the United States)...
etc.
The reason for these stimulants is to speed up your metabolism.
By speeding up your metabolism your body is having to work overtime and burn more calories then it normally would.
But, these supplements do not only contain stimulants they also include appetite suppressants that limit the amount of food you normally take in.
So, with both stimulant and appetite suppressant working in conjunction with each other your body is now burning more calories then usual and on top of that, you are not eating as much as you normally would.
Combine a strict diet, workout regimen whether it be at the gym or using a strength training system to your day and your body fat will be close to extinction.
Now, I do not have a problem with diet supplements, as long as they are not making outrageous claims such as "Jane Doe was able to lose 30 pounds in her first month.
" But a majority of people that I have trained or anyone that has asked me for advice on how to lose weight feel that since they are taking supplements it is okay to splurge and eat a whole pizza by themselves or chow down on that burger loaded with bacon.
It is NOT OKAY to do that...
just because you are taking a weight control supplement does not mean it will eliminate whatever fat you consume.
Having an entire pizza to yourself is a nuclear bomb to your diet and will definitely set you back.
Weight loss supplements will not make you lose weight unless you are doing all the right things.
A weight loss supplements job is to supplement what you are currently doing to lose weight.
So, the answer is yes...
weight loss products do work.
But do not expect it to work miracles if you are not eating and exercising the way you should be.
With that being said, before you decide if you want to try a weight loss product, you should ask yourself two things...
why is ephedra banned in the United States? and if you are overweight, does your doctor tell you to exercise, or to purchase a weight loss supplement?
