How to Cite Books Published in More Than One City in APA Style
- 1). List the name of the author in the following format:
Smith, Z. - 2). List the publication date in parentheses, followed by a period that falls outside the parentheses. For example:
(2001). - 3). List the title of the book in italics, followed by a period. Capitalize only the first letter of the title and the first letter of any proper nouns. For example:
A roach in Shakespeare's army.
If there is a subtitle, also capitalize the first letter of the subtitle. Separate the subtitle from the title with a colon. The subtitle should also appear in italics. For example:
A roach in Shakespeare's army: Finding the influence of Christopher Marlowe. - 4). List only the first city of publication given in the publication information at the front of the book. Follow this information with a colon. If the city and state are listed, list the city and state. For example:
