2012 Independence Day Classical Music Concerts
There's nothing like listening to a rousing piece of classical music while watching fireworks burst in the air. Here are a handful of orchestras from various cities in the US performing for 2012 Independence Day.
When: July 4, 2012 - 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET
Where: Live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol
If you can't make it to a near by classical concert or Independence Day celebration, stay inside and turn your TV on to your local PBS station. This year's live broadcast (in high-def) will be hosted by "Dancing with the Stars" Tom Bergeron. Special guests include Phillip Phillips, Megan Hilty, Matthew Broderick, Kelli O’Hara, Javier Colon, Josh Turner, Kool & The Gang, Russell Watson, Amber Riley, and the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Jack Everly.More »

Tickets to this annual 4th of July concert are free! Simon & Garfunkel tribute artists Jonathan Beedle and AJ Swearingen join the Houston Symphony and conductor, Michael Krajewski to present a fun evening of American and classical music. With cannons to go along with the 1812 Overture and fireworks following the performance, it should make for an excellent and memorable night for the whole family.More »

With over a dozen works on the playbill, this Independence Day classical music concert presented by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Tony Award-winning Broadway vocalist Debbie Gravitte, and the US Army Chorus is going to be amazing. Like many of the other concerts listed here, there will be fireworks at the end of the show.More »
