    • 1). Apply a small amount of cleaner to a rag and work it into the leather of the first shoe, using an overlapping circular motion. Start with the top of the shoe and work your way around to the sides and back.

    • 2). Set the first shoe aside and let the cleaner work while you apply it to the second shoe.

    • 3). Buff the cleaner off each shoe, starting with the first shoe cleaned. Work in a back-and-forth motion, again starting with the top and working your way around.

    • 4). Finish treating your shoes by applying a shoe conditioner and allowing it to absorb overnight before polishing or waxing your shoes.
