How Do I Take a Time Delayed Photo?
- 1). Press the menu button on the camera.
- 2). Set the self-timer in the camera's menu. It might simply be labeled "Timer."
- 3). Determine the amount of time delay that you want. You will likely have the option of choosing between five seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds or one minute for personal or family portraits.
- 4). Place the camera on a level surface where it will stay upright.
- 5). Position the camera so that it is facing in the direction that you want the photo to be taken.
- 6). Press the shutter release button and quickly get into place if you are going to be in the photo.
