Adding Video Guitar Lessons to the Bucket List
There are a lot of people who decide as they get older that they want to learn to play an instrument.
Some people say that it's part of a mid-life crisis.
Many say that it's nuts, or a phase that will pass.
But either way, for those of us that have decided that we really could have been a great guitar player it's time.
Once the idea catches hold we just have to go for it and look for either land based or video guitar lessons.
I didn't want to take lessons in a class with a young kids.
I like kids, and they are pretty amusing most of the time.
But, I had a very bad skiing class incident with a four year old when I was in my fifties and didn't want to repeat that.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar and had pretty much found the genre that I wanted to learn.
So, I started looking for a way to get lessons that would be affordable and not cut into my work and other activities.
That turned out to be a lot harder than I thought it would be.
We're all on schedules that make adding any kind of activity harder.
For most of us, our free time is usually late at night when everything has quieted down.
For me, I don't have any scheduled free time and this makes taking land based lessons even more difficult.
So, I kept up my search in the Internet and found all kinds of websites for video guitar lessons.
The thing is that when a person, like me, doesn't know that much about guitar playing to start with its hard to know what a valuable lesson looks like.
Each of the websites had some kind of video introduction.
That made it a little easier to narrow down my search.
I needed a regular person who looked like they knew what they were doing.
I'm left-handed, so that knocked some of them out.
If a right-handed person has never taught a left-handed person, it can be a little different and I didn't want to mess with translating all of the instructions that I saw.
So, when I finally found video guitar lessons that worked for me, they were exactly what I needed.
I watch them whenever I want, I can repeat them until I get it.
And, nobody is telling me that I need to hurry up because their mother is coming to get them.
All in all, a great way to go.
