People who are fond of sweet snacks probably are aware that the most popular food these days are the cake pops and cupcakes.

Cake Pops are cake and frosting all balled up in one, hand dipped in candy coating and covered in d©cor and served on a stick like a lollipop. You would need a cake mix, frosting, candy melts, colored sprinkles, colored icing tubes and candy eye ball for the decorations. The first step to create cake pops is to bake a cake of any flavour.

Then you put 2 cups of frosting and combine both with your hands. With this batter, you create small balls about 3-4 tablespoons each. Once you're done creating the balls, you place them inside a refrigerator for an hour or two or in a freezer or about thirty minutes. While you are passing time to wait for the pops, you can actually already start turning the candy into liquid in the oven. Once the candy is melted, you dip the lollipop stick in it. You then remove the pops from the refrigerator and stick the lollipops two thirds into them. To finish off, you need to put the entire cake pop into the melted candy and wait for it to dry. You are now finally done with your cake pop.

Next up are the irresistible cupcakes. Cakes and cupcakes are somewhat similar since cupcakes are just small cakes baked in a small thin paper or aluminium cup. The ingredients you'll need to come up with the cupcakes are butter, sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla extract, milk, food colouring and icing sugar. Plus you'll need some sprinkles, and other balls and petals that can be used as designs.

To begin, you need to turn on the oven and preheat it to about 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then you get a bowl and mix altogether some flour, baking powder, cocoa and sugar. Using another bowl, you have to mix the eggs, milk and oil together. Now mix all that is contained in the two containers. After mixing, you place the mixture into the muffin liners in the pan using a spoon, leaving one third of the paper visible to give room for the cupcakes to rise.

Then, you place the pan into the oven for a period of ten minutes. When the time's already up, you can try to check for the cupcakes with the use of a toothpick. When the cupcakes are already cooked, you take the pan away from the oven and allow the cupcakes to cool for one hour. After cooling, you can now make designs for the cupcakes using sugar paste, icing or sprinkles. At last, you have baked really cool cupcakes that can be featured in a cake blog.
