    • 1). Turn off the power to the light fixture. If the light was on, wait until the bulb is cool before touching it.

    • 2). Remove the existing incandescent flood light by turning it counterclockwise to unscrew the base from the socket.

    • 3). Set the compact fluorescent flood light's base into the light socket and begin turning the light bulb clockwise. Once you meet resistance, stop turning.

    • 4). Turn the power back on to the fixture and test your new outdoor fluorescent light bulb.
