How Do I Remove a Dash Handle From a Silverado?
- 1). Place the tip of a flat-head screwdriver in the gap between the air vent to the left of the passenger-side air bag and the dashboard. Twist the screwdriver to pop the vent out of the dash, then pull it out entirely. Repeat the process for the air vent to the right of the passenger side air bag.
- 2). Shine the flashlight inside each vent to locate a white button inside. Place the tip of the flat head screwdriver on one button and have your assistant hold the tip of the other screwdriver on the other button.
- 3). Simultaneously push the screwdrivers in towards the buttons, then--while the buttons are depressed--pull the dash handle away from the dashboard.
