How to Reset the DRM on Windows Media Player
- 1). Quit the Windows Media Player program if it is running. Go to "Start", "My Computer", "Documents And Settings". Click on the "All Users" tab in the left column of the window that appears.
- 2). Click once on the "DRM" folder's icon in the center column of the window. Rename the folder "DRMbackup".
- 3). Close the window by clicking on the red "X" in the upper right corner.
- 4). Launch the default web browser by selecting it from the "Start", "All Applications" pop-ip menu. Go to the Microsoft DRM Reset website. Click on the "Upgrade" button on the web page.
- 5). Wait as the web page downloads and installs the DRM licenses into the Windows operating system. Restart the PC after the installations are done.

- 4). Click on "Start", "All Programs". Right click on the "Internet Explorer" web browser in the window that appears on the desktop. Select "Run As Administrator" from the pop-up window. Enter the administration password in the "Password" text field of the window that appears. Click the "Continue" button on the window to make it disappear and launch the web browser.
- 5). Go to the Microsoft DRM Reset website. Click on the "Upgrade" button on the web page.
- 6). Wait as the web page downloads and installs the DRM licenses into the Windows operating system. Restart the PC after the installations are done.
