The Summer is here and at times at least the sun has been shining. Business is also starting to move again after some hard economic times. With both of these in mind leicester catering company have launched a gourmet packed lunch for businesses who have guests visting them at this time of the year. If you have a trade day at your factory or an open day at your offices, perhaps you might like to consider this innotive way to feed your guests.

Here at Leicester Catering Company we have recently had the good fortune to help feed guests at Giant's recent series of open days.

The marketing department were looking for good wholesome food which their guests could tuck into after a morning watching videos on the latest bikes in the Giant range, plus riding all the latest versions.

The brief was therefore to provide food which was tasty but also healthy. It needed colour and it also had to convey that it was homemade.

We settled in a range of sandwiches in multi grain and seeded brown bread. These included Smoked Applewood and Onion Marmalade salad, Smoked Salmon and Rocket on lemon and crème fraiche spread, Ham and Brie salad and Roast Beef and Horseradish salad.

We also made up boxes of vegetarian and meat pasta, with sun dried tomatoes and bite and crunch from chopped gerkins.

Also in the attractive paper bags were an assortment of pack of kettle crisps, a corner yoghurt and a banana. The whole package was delivered at a set time ready for distribution at lunch, to hungry cyclists.

All this including delivery were available for £5.

We arranged delivery every morning for 11 am so that they could be laid out ready for the cyclists return.

We are happy to make up these packed lunches to any requirement and are ready to offer suggestions.

Other sandwiches which you may wish to include brie and grape, chicken tikka on salad, pork salad with apple sauce.

With fresh summer fruit now in season, it would be delicious to include a peach or a small punnet of raspberries as a dessert.
