How to Get a CD out of a Computer With No Power
- 1). Move the computer to a spot where it will be easier to access to the front of the CD drive. Shine a flashlight at the front of the drive.
- 2). Look for a small hole in the front of the drive. This hole is typically located to the left of the eject button. The hole can be difficult to see, espeically on black drives, so the flashlight will be a big help.
- 3). Unbend a paper clip and insert it into the hole. Push on the paper clip until you hear the CD spinning. When the CD starts spinning the drawer will eject. If the access door does not eject the whole way, grasp it with your fingers and pull it open to remove the CD.
