Guide to Entering Free Competitions

So my name is Leanne Abel and I'm a Competition Addict or Comper as we are known! I started entering competitions in March 2012 after a old friend from work appeared in the sun newspaper saying how may competitions she had won. I thought it too good to be true but decided to give it a go myself.

I searched the internet for some free competition sites and was amazed by what I found. There are loads of free and fast sites out there that require no registration details and competitions of all varieties are listed.

Most of these sites have prizes categorised or have a search function to enable you to find what your looking for easily. Be it baby stuff, childrens toys, electronics, food or things for the home there is plenty of choice and anything for free is great! I have found some favourite sites to use like The Prize Finder, Twitninja and MSE Competition Forums and registered with them, simply for the ease of tracking the competitions I have already entered.

I often get asked about competitions from people in other countries and recommend http://www.freecompetitions.co/ as it has competitions for the UK, USA, Canada, Austrialia and South Africa.

Over the last few years I have won loads of great prizes and you don't have to be a computer genius to start entering. The majority of wins I have had have been through Facebook but I also enter Twitter comps and through magazines and websites. I had been lucky enough to win 1250 pounds cash, a Mountain Bike, Dishwasher, Portable DVD, Le Creuset, KitchenAid Mixer and loads of smaller wins too.

I would recommend having a Facebook account if you haven't already and a Twitter account as there are lots of amazing competitions on these two sites alone. If you have more time you could try entering via Pinterest and Instagram as these require more skill but have lower entries. There are loads of prizes out there for photography so make sure you have a good digital camera!

After realising that there is loads of people out there that don't know how to get started I created my own blog http://crazyleannescompetitions.blogspot.co.uk/ which has a list of all my wins, competitions I host and Hints and Tips for fellow compers.

I just want to stress how easy it is to enter competitions and it takes little time, so if you only have 15 mins a day get entering as you never know what you might win! PS. Please check out my free competition blog x
