How to Create Edible Fruit Arrangements
- 1). Wash and dry all the fruit thoroughly.
- 2). Place the floral foam into the base of the vase or decorative bowl. It should be about the same size as the base of the container.
- 3). Slice the pineapple into 1/2-inch-thick slices. There is no need to peel the pineapple since you will be cutting out the center of each slice.
- 4). Place the flower cookie cutter in the center of each pineapple slice and press firmly. Set aside the pineapple flower shapes.
- 5). Slice the cantaloupe in half and use the melon baller to cut ball-shaped pieces out of the entire melon.
- 6). Cut each cantaloupe ball in half so that each one has a flat side.
- 7). Stick the sharp end of one skewer through the center of a pineapple flower, allowing it to stick through about 1/2 inch.
- 8). Place one melon half-ball onto the exposed end of the skewer. You should now have a pineapple flower. Repeat for every pineapple slice.
- 9). Skewer all the strawberries, making sure the skewers do not go all the way through the berries.
- 10
Skewer three grapes, sliding the fruit along the length of the skewer. Make sure the skewer is not poking all the way through the final grape. Repeat with the rest of the grapes, three grapes per skewer. - 11
Place your completed skewers into the floral foam at various angles. Place the outermost skewers at a sharp angle, gradually angling the skewers to an upright position as you move toward the center. Once all the fruit is in place, sprinkle it with lemon juice to keep it from going brown. - 12
Fill in the blank spaces with bunches of parsley. Gather together a few sprigs and skewer the leaves into place.
