Men certainly have only a few accessories to wear with their attire.
More often than not, cufflinks are almost always present.
Men get to wear them many times during the year - on important corporate events and several formal occasions.
Given that, it is not uncommon to find men having more than one pair.
Cufflinks are not hard to find, and they need not necessarily expensive.
Especially if you include cufflinks with your daily office attire, you would likely get a couple of more pairs.
But either way, it's not hard to build a collection of cufflinks in just a short time, as collecting cufflinks can be so much fun.
It's also very likely to receive cufflinks as gifts from your friends and loved ones , as cufflinks make great birthday gift, Father's day gift, anniversary gift, Christmas gift etc.
Adding that to your personal collection of cufflinks (if you already have one), over the years you'll find yourself with a handful of pairs.
Where would you put them? Tucking them all in a desk drawer will not work anymore.
Whether you got one or two pairs, or perhaps more, you need to keep your prized cufflinks in proper storage.
As with other jewelry, you do this not just to avoid clutter but also to keep them clean and preserve them.
Another advantage in keeping them in proper storage is that it's easier to carry your cufflinks with you if you travel.
But where would you put them? Fortunately there are now jewelry boxes especially made for cufflinks.
They are more properly called as cufflinks cases or boxes in jewelry stores.
They come in different finish, designs, shapes, and colors as well.
Your choice would largely depend on your preference in style and functionality.
When buying a cufflinks case, the first thing you should consider is just how many cufflinks do you have at the moment, or at least how many pair would you want to keep in one box at a time? Cufflink cases have compartments that organize cufflinks by pair.
There are little cufflinks boxes that are specifically designed to hold just one pair; this is your best choice if you only got one pair at hand or you intend to store your cufflinks separately from each other.
Of course it's also wise to buy a larger cufflinks case to hold several pairs at the same time.
They are also called cufflinks collector's cases.
Depending on the number of pairs a cufflink case can hold, there are 6 and 8 pair cufflinks cases are common.
Some can even hold double the number; with 2 bottom compartments stack one above the other.
You can also find cufflinks cases with glass top finish for viewing purposes.
If you intend to keep your cufflinks at home, glass top cases or fine wooden cases will do fine.
But if you wish to carry your cufflinks with you, put them in a leather cufflinks case instead.
It's hard outside covering makes the case durable and does not break easily as wooden cases do.
