We all have heard about lung cancer but, what exactly is lung cancer? Lung cancer is a form of cancer that is found in the lungs. Lungs are known to be the soft organs that are located in the chest on either sides of the heart. Surgery can be conducted to remove the presence of cancer in the lungs. Surgery can be conducted in the early stages of the tumor presence. It can take place only if the tumor is found in one part of the body. During the process of surgery the damaged lymph nodes can also be removed along with the tumor. So surgery alone cannot cure this disease there has to be chemotherapy and radiation therapy for the complete cure of the lung cancer.
