- If you are not a gambler, Atlantic City, New Jersey, can still be a great place to visit. Often referred to as the "Las Vegas of the East Coast" because of its many casinos, lights and glamour, the casino shows are also a large part of what brings many people to this popular city. For your next trip to the East Coast, plan a visit to Atlantic City to take in some of the casino shows.
- Atlantic City is a popular place to see some of today's hottest stars and yesterday's biggest names. In February 2010, Caesars will feature the legendary B.B. King and Buddy Guy for a night of blues. The Doobie Brothers are scheduled to appear in May 2010 and Jethro Tull will be live in concert in June. Ticket prices for these shows range from $65 to $105, depending on how close you want to get to the stage. At Bally's, Air Supply is scheduled to appear in February in the Main Ballroom. Tickets are only $35. For audiences who like hard-hitting music, Kid Rock, Lady Gaga and Jay-Z will appear separately in the Event Center at the Borgata in 2010.
- Casinos are known for booking up-and-coming magicians as well as famous illusionists. Magician Micheal Turco recently brought his magic show, "Wonder," to the Palace Theater at Bally's. His show combines magic, storytelling and high-energy tricks and illusions that keep the audience watching his every move. Kozak the Magician will appear at The Quarter at Tropicana through the first few months of 2010. Tickets start at $30 for this entertaining magic show.
- Comedy acts are always fun to see after a few hours of gambling. Atlantic City casinos have a number of comedy acts appearing throughout 2010. In January, Louie Anderson will appear at the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino. Lewis Black, who has several comedy albums and TV specials to his name, brings his comedy show, "Let Them Eat Cake," to the Music Box at the Borgata in February for an evening of fun and laughter.
