Ways To Teach Kids How To Build A Successful Blog
Last night I had a very cool conversation with someone I respect and admire very much.
We had not talked in a while so we spent a few minutes catching up on old times.
The conversation later turned to our kids and the things they were involved in.
We both entered the Masters Of Education program together and spent lots of time talking about issues related to education.
So the question of whether or not my wife and I were still home schooling our kids was bound to surface.
Once it came up, my immediate response was "YES, we are still home schooling.
" As we talked further, I explained that the curriculum we follow is designed to start my three children thinking about entrepreneurship and building their own business.
"So what are you teaching...
?" he asked.
My response was, we teach our kids how to create multiple streams of income with the talents and creative faculties given to them by the creator.
Just recently we started teaching them the importance of self-expression and utilizing a blog as a platform to express themselves.
As a matter of fact, my two boys, King Zi, who is eight and Zahran, six, are in the process of designing and building their very own blogs.
Everyday our kids are asked to write in their journal.
Their journal entries will be typed up (great way to introduce typing) and uploaded to their blogs.
Adjenai, my sixteen-year-old daughter, a very talented musician, creates her own videos and recently started blogging daily.
We are now in the process of teaching her how to monetize the blog so she can start earning her own income.
Many parents may not be able to home-school their children because of their traditional 9 to 5 job.
However, the process of teaching children to start thinking on the entrepreneurial side is very possible and a MUST.
While I understand many parents may have an issue with their child being online, the idea of building an online business at an early age is something I believe will prepare my children for a solid future.
I absolutely encourage parents to start teaching their children to blog.
Blogging will start the process of getting your child to express themselves intellectually and eventually teach them how to make money blogging from home.
Here are some ways to teach kids how to build as successful blog: 1.
Have then start by keeping a journal of daily activities 2.
Highlight the positive and interesting happening in their lives each day.

If your kids are interested in a particular subject i.
e.
games, sports, religion entertainment.
Have them share those thoughts with you and then tell them to write about it.

Have your kids start video taping parts of their day every day.
All of their videos can be uploaded and used in their blog posts.
Remember, no one is going to teach your kids how to be entrepreneurs, but you.
