If you have the option of hand delivering your invitations, consider putting your invitation information on the side of an inflatable beach ball or inner tube. Inflate the item and use a permanent marker to spell out the details of your affair. Deflate the ball, and give it to your guests. They will need to re-inflate it to get all of the party details. If your swimming pool party is going to be during the sweltering hot days of summer, then odds are your guests will need to wear sunblock. Purchase small bottles of sunblock to use as invitations. Using printable labels, relabel the bottles with the invitation information. Label the sunblock as "SPF 100" and spell out underneath it that it means "Swimming Pool Fun." If you are planning a pool party for the winter months, create a playful invitations that combines the two ideas humorously. Using standard card stock paper, cut out a large blue circle, to represent the surface of a pool. use a white pencil to create small ripples on the surface of the water. Choose a brightly colored piece of card stock and cut out a rectangular raft to glue into the middle of the pool. Cut out three white circles in three different sizes, and glue them onto the raft, in a snowman configuration. Add eyes, a nose and buttons. Use brown paper to cut out tree branch arms that bend at the elbows and behind your snowman's head as he relaxes on his raft. Include all of your party information on either the back or the inside of the card.
