Ideas for Wedding Proposals
- Take your girlfriend on a romantic vacation and propose to her. You could propose while taking a sunset walk on the beach, while relaxing after a long day on the ski slopes, on a tropical cruise around the Caribbean, or while dining at a romantic restaurant on top of a city skyscraper. When choosing the exact spot to propose consider how many other people will around, and whether or not your bride-to-be would appreciate bystanders watching you propose to her.
- If your girlfriend doesn't like a lot of attention, it is probably best to propose to her in private. You could make her a romantic dinner and then surprise her with an engagement ring during the dessert course. Or take her for an afternoon hike in the woods and propose. If you live near the ocean you could also prepare a picnic, take her to a secluded spot along the coast and propose to her.
- Incorporate her family into your proposal if your girlfriend is really close with them. You could propose on a holiday when everyone will already be gathered together, or get them all in the same location especially for the occasion. It is very important to make sure they all understand how important it is to keep this secret from her ahead of time, so as not to ruin the surprise. She will love having her whole family there to witness and celebrate your engagement.
- Put on a show by proposing in a very public place if your girlfriend loves to be the center of attention. You could propose at a sporting event by asking her to marry you in a message on the scoreboard. Or propose at a crowded restaurant, in front of a beautiful fountain in a highly populated part of the city, on an airplane, or at a concert.
