Jailbreak explanations part 2
SBSettings
SBSettings is another great jailbreak app which empowers you to adjust and personalize your iPhone. It allows you to hide icons you don't want or don't use. This is important if you cant remove the apps, as you can at least hide them. You can also control the memory usage and which processes are running on your iPhone. You can check out which apps are memory hogs or are draining battery more than what is acceptable to you.
Open SSH
This is a tool which allows you to access your device. First you need to install it in Cydia and then you can use a client (like WinSCP for windows) to access your iPhone or iPad from your computer. Using Open SSH carries some risks especially if you forget to disable it after you are finished because it leaves your system open to intrusion by hackers. Also it can drain your battery quickly.
Notifications apps
There are various possibilities when choosing your notification app. Lock Info, Notified Pro and so on are some of the choices. Apple still needs to work on their notification system and this is the reason why it is good to choose some of the Notification apps to improve your user experience with a jailbroken iPhone.
SMS apps
there are a bunch of apps which improve the way you use texting like Bitesms or iRealSMS. This apps will enable you to quickly and efficiently reply to the texts received without disrupting whatever you do currently on your iPhone. Some of this apps will also enable you to create your own gestures for creating text messages without leaving the app you are currently using.
Tethering
Very useful for many active and dynamic people needing to have Internet availabel on their laptops wherever they are. Using your iPhones 3G is a good way to do it. You will again have to jailbreak before you can use this option as the carriers would like you to pay for this separately. You can use different apps for Internet tethering but one of the best apps for this is MyWi. It is a paid app but it will save you money and will repay itself in only two months of use
List goes on and on but this are some of the basic informations you will need to explore further iPhone jailbreak and unlock terms and apps.
