College can wreak havoc on your figure and your waistline.
With all the busy classes, exam stress, outings and college parties, can it be almost impossible to lose weight.
But with some careful planning and smart tips, you can lose some weight or stay at your current weight.
Here's how: Pack your own lunch The meals that they serve in the college cafeteria are usually not extremely healthy.
Most of the meals that I've seen are either deep fried or sugar laden.
If your cafeteria doesn't stock healthy lunches, pack your own.
That way you can control your diet and make sure that you don't pick up weight.
Watch your drinks It is very easy to drink a few drinks too may when you are young and in college.
But if you want to lose weight, this is very bad news to you.
Alcohol contains lots of empty calories (they don't make you full) and can make you pile on the weight and sprout and alcohol tummy.
Prepare lots of healthy meals in the weekends When you are studying long hours, it is very difficult to prepare dinners and very easy to just reach for the take away menu.
To help you out, prepare lots of healthy meals in the weekend and freeze them for the next week.
Snack smart Exam stress can make you reach for very unhealthy snacks mindlessly.
When you want to lose weight, snack on smart snacks like the following: nuts, fruit, veggie sticks, whole wheat crackers, and fat free yogurt.
Make time for regular exercise I know your schedule is jam packed, but if you want to lose weight and be healthier, you have to make time for regular exercise.
Make appointments with yourself to exercise and see it as another appointment you have to meet.
Limit the fast food and treats Don't have too much fast foods and treats when you want to lose weight.

These rules will help you to lose weight while still having a normal and very busy college life.
