When you get a liposuction then you must decide whether you want to have the fat removed during the surgery or not.
For me it was always clear that I wanted to get rid of the fat.
There is another option though that you wait until the body drains the fat naturally.
I never really understood why someone would want to wait.
If you have a surgery then the doctor can remove the fat as well, right? Well, some people do not do that.
I know somebody who got such a liposuction surgery recently and is quite unhappy.
To be honest, it is still early to tell if it was a mistake or not.
The surgery was just three months ago.
My friend had about 150lbs prior to the surgery and 162lbs the day after the surgery! Today she has about the weight she had before surgery but she looks deformed.
She is quite unhappy.
Did the plastic surgeon made a mistake? Usually you have to wait at least six months to see the full benefits of a successful liposuction.
Three months have passed and she looks worse than before.
You can not blame her for being disappointed.
I recommended her to go and talk with at least two other cosmetic surgeons to find out if this is normal or not.
If it was not she probably has to go under a second surgery.
The question remains if she can afford that because a liposuction is not cheap.
She has an appointment next week with the new surgeons and hopefully comes back with good news.
I also had a liposuction but my fat was removed instantly during the surgery.
I had some swelling afterwards of course but it did go away and after some time I was pretty happy with my look.
For me it was a success.
For my friend however the nightmare is still not over yet.
