How to Install Vertical Cellular Shades
- 1). Measure the distance from the ceiling to the floor. Measure the length of the vertical blind from the top of the headrail to the bottom of the pleated material. Subtract the length of the blind form the height of the ceiling and take off one additional inch for floor clearance.
- 2). Measure down from the ceiling on both ends of the window frame to the measurement obtained in Step 1. Place marks on each end of the window to denote the correct mounting height.
- 3). Place the top edge of the headrail under the marks on the wall and center the headrail over the window. Place marks at each end of the headrail
- 4). Place the mounting brackets onto the wall and line them up with the marks. Mark each mounting hole for the mounting brackets.
- 5). Drill holes into the wall large enough to allow installation of wall anchors. Drive the wall anchors into the wall with a hammer.
- 6). Place the mounting brackets onto the wall and secure them with the supplied screws and a screwdriver.
- 7). Position the headrail over the mounting bracket and secure them using the fastening system supplied with the blind. This process will differ depending on the brand of blind. Two shades of the same overall design could have different mounting brackets. In many cases, the blind secures to the bracket with screws or with retaining clips.
