For the third year in a row the X Factor Finalists roar to the top of the chart with their charity single. This year it is a version of David Bowie's classic "Heroes." Rihanna rolls into the top 10 with "What's My Name?" giving her two top 10 hits simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic. Singer-songwriter Jessie J rides a wave of critical interest on to the chart at #25 this week.

Take That hang on to the top spot on the album chart while they are joined in the top 3 by two other boy bands. However, those two are kept from the top spot by the big Take That sales. My Chemical Romance suffer a disappointing #14 opening after their last album The Black Parade hit #2.
