How to Transfer Ringtones From Computer Via Bluetooth
- 1). Connect the Bluetooth card to your computer by plugging the card into an available USB port. Allow your computer to recognize the device and install the software drivers.
- 2). Turn on the Bluetooth card and choose "Search for Devices." This allows your Bluetooth card to search for any device within a 30-foot range.
- 3). Open your phone's Bluetooth settings and turn the phone to "Discovery Mode." Discovery Mode allows other Bluetooth devices to locate and synchronize with your phone.
- 4). Return to the computer and select your phone from the results of available devices. The results might list the phone's model number, brand name or a personalized name pre-determined by the owner.
- 5). Create a four-digit code for synchronization and enter it in the computer. Enter the same code in the cell phone.
- 6). Click "Start," then click "My Computer." Locate your phone on the list provided. Your phone may be listed under "Removable Storage Devices" or "Bluetooth."
- 7). Right-click the phone and select "Explore." View the list of folders on your phone. If your phone contains a folder named "Ringtones," double-click the folder to open it. If it does not contain a ringtones folder, your phone might not have a designated folder. Each phone is different so refer to your phone's manual for the correct location. Minimize this window.
- 8). Open the folder containing your ringtones. Do this in a separate window.

Return to the window containing the contents of your cell phone. Right-click an open area and select "Paste." You should see a progress bar appear on your screen. Depending upon the size of the file, this might take a few minutes. When the progress bar disappears, your ringtone transfer is complete.
