    • 1). Place a hook tool behind the plastic trim panel around the interior door handle of the Sierra. Pull the handle off the door and place it to the side. Place the hook tool behind the interior door lock bezel, and pull the hook tool to release the door lock bezel.

    • 2). Unscrew the door panel from the door, using a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. There is one screw at the bottom corner of the door panel, one underneath the armrest and one where the door lock bezel stood.

    • 3). Place a window crank removal tool between the interior window crank and the door panel. Push it forward to release the window crank retaining clip. This may take some searching and prodding, but once you have the clip pull the handle off the door. If you have power windows, lift off the power window switch controls, using your hands, then unplug the wiring by hand.

    • 4). Pull off the exterior mirror interior trim in the corner of the door. Pull it off to release the clips, and place it to the side.

    • 5). Stand next to the door. Lift up vertically on the armrest to pull the door panel hooks up off the door, then pull the door horizontally away from the door assembly.
