    • 1). Check that the factory antenna plug is plugged into the back of the new stereo head unit, in the input marked for the antenna.

    • 2). Check that the multi-pinned electrical connector is plugged into the back of the stereo unit. There should only be one input on the back of the stereo unit that will accept the multi-pinned connector.

    • 3). Test the car stereo. Turn the stereo unit power on, then listen to the audio output. If there is any distortion in the sound, you may need to have your speakers replaced.

    • 4). Check that the stereo unit is secured using the factory mounting screws. If your stereo unit came with a universal bracket, make sure the universal bracket is secured to the factory mounting locations.
