The Very Definition of MLM You Cannot Afford to Miss

103 13
MLM means multilevel marketing.
The definition is in the term itself.
You can't afford to miss that because in a nutshell, it tells you the kind of income generating capability you will have if you succeed in an MLM company.
It is termed multilevel because you can generate sales and, therefore, income at various levels in your sales organization down the line.
In a non-MLM company engaged in direct selling, you can only enjoy commissions from your own sales, if you are a sales representative for that company.
In an MLM company, however, you are allowed to recruit people who can become sales representatives like you.
And because you are responsible for bringing them into the company, the company now gives you a commission also from their sales.
You are now termed as an "upline" and the persons under you as your "downlines.
" The process does not stop there.
If your own recruits now also do their own recruiting and they succeed in bringing in people, then you are also bound to earn something from the sales of their recruits.
This process goes on and is repeated down the line as the recruits of your recruits also generate their own sales.
It can go through several levels deep depending on the MLM company's compensation scheme.
Some go up to 5th, 6th, or 7th level.
There are even companies that have designed compensation schemes that theoretically allow you to be paid from unlimited number of levels down the line of your organization.
This multiple level income generating scheme is one of the main attractions of MLM companies.
As a sales agent you don't have to be limited anymore to what you can personally do using your own effort and resources.
You can leverage on other peoples' effort and resources provided you can recruit them.
This leveraging can even become very dramatic when a person of quite inferior capability in marketing and sales, by some stroke of luck, is able to recruit into his organization a topnotch sales and marketing person who is capable of recruiting and leading a big sales force.
You can just imagine the impact of that on the person with mediocre capabilities.
He can ride on top of the success of his exceptional downline.
He can retire in principle and let others do the selling and income generation for him.
The multiple level income plus the possible element of luck coming into the picture by being able to recruit market leaders who will work for you through the MLM company's sales structure should make you seriously contemplate joining this kind of business.
Join a reputable company with a good track record.
What do you know - that person you might share a table with in fast food joint could be your topnotch guy in your sales organization.
You'll never know that unless you're in.
