People who want to take art courses ask: Can I learn to draw and learn to paint if I'm young? Children take art courses all over the world at all ages.
Everyone is different.
Some learn just simple things never to do art work again and others go on to professional art careers.
Can I learn to draw and learn to paint if I'm too old? Many students start to learn drawing and painting late in life.
Best example is Grandma Moses who started painting in her 70s and died at 101, still painting.
Also one of my favorites in terms of age and art was Teresa Bernstein.
She was born around 1885 to 1889 (her date of birth is not well documented) and died in 2002.
Teresa died at somewhere between 111 to116 years old.
At her death it was reported that she was still drawing every day.
She had her first one-woman show in 1919 about eighty years or so before she died.
Can I learn to draw and learn to paint if I've never studied art before? Lots of students start with no art background.
Hard work, good study habits, focus and time devoted to studying and practicing are what work best.
Can I learn to draw and learn to paint? There is no way to absolutely predict or promise success in learning to draw or learning to paint.
To some people it comes easily ...
some people have to work harder.
There is an old joke all New York City residents know well.
A visitor to NYC stopped a native New Yorker and asked: "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?" (Carnegie Hall is the most famous musical concert hall in New York City).
The New Yorker answered "Practice, practice, practice.
" If you ask: "Can I learn to draw and learn to paint" ...
the answer is find a good art school and: "Practice, practice, practice.
