Satin Finish

• Satin finish paint is a good choice for a nursery. It is readily available in paint and home improvement stores, comes in a wide range of colors and can be cleaned with soap and water. Low VOC Paint

• Low volatile organic chemical (VOC) paints are deliberately low on chemicals and made from more natural substances. While each manufacturer uses a different formulation, low VOC paints are alike in that they feature a reduced number of carbon-containing compounds. Chalkboard Paint

• Chalkboard paint transforms any paintable surface into an instant chalkboard. This paint is available from several manufacturers in classic black or a range of bold, bright colors. Paint this on the walls of a nursery, and you can create an ever-changing wall display that grows as your child does. Chalkboard paint requires two to three coats for full coverage, and, once dry, chalk can be cleaned away with an eraser or a wet rag.
