Casino Night Theme Ideas
- Instead of having to clean a lot of regular dishes, glasses and napkins, use casino themed paper plates, napkins and cups that have have dice, card suits or poker chips designs. Use plastic glasses that have the same high-class real drinking glasses.
- Use neon signs on the walls, with glowing dice, cards or casino associated slogans. Use "On the house," "all in," "get lucky" or have your own phrase made. Larger decorations, such as an arch with floor length silver strings hanging down from hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs connected by two green columns are great for the entrance or to entice guests to have their photos taken.
Small details won't go unnoticed either, so use shiny metallic confetti in the shape of dollar signs, dice or card suits. Banners and signs displaying poker, blackjack, slot machines and roulette tables add to the atmosphere. - Use different tablecloths (even plastic ones) for different games. Include poker, any variation will work, such as Texas hold'em or five card draw. Blackjack is a popular game that most people know how to play. If not, they can easily learn how at the party. A roulette table will surely be a hit. If you have enough space, and a table large enough to accommodate it, set up a craps table. Have chips available for all of your guests, perhaps even customized chips displaying the date and reason for celebration.
- Add to the casino atmosphere further by offering props to allow your guests to dress up and get into the mood. Supply your male guests with fedora hats, and perhaps a nice cigar. Women could receive feather boas, beaded necklaces (even dice beads) or sequin and feather headbands. Get some help, even hired help for large celebrations, that wear black pants and white shirts to play the dealers and servers. The dealers can be supplied with inexpensive dealer vests making them stand out, and further adding to the entire casino atmosphere.
