What Can You Do With Damaged Bricks?

As most of us can see, properties that use bricks for their walls and walkways look attractive and elegant. It makes people feel more comfortable and it makes them utilize most of their space. Brick pavers and walls are very cost-effective. You can be sure that you are putting durable materials in your property. Once you install brick pavers, you will have less maintenance in your home exterior.

It prevents soil erosion and you can also keep your shoes clean during the rainy season since your surroundings will be free of mud. Since covering the whole place with bricks is not practical, you can use synthetic grass in areas that bricks cannot cover.

Bricks can be recycled. In case one block gets damaged, you can remove it easily and replace it fast by yourself without exerting too much effort. You can find so many video tutorials in the internet that will teach you how to do the task. What can you do with the damaged bricks?

1. Beautify your garden. You can use the damaged bricks in your garden's walkway. Since they are cracked and cannot work like puzzles anymore, you can just place them on the ground and match the sizes as much as you can and fill the spaces with white sand or smooth, small stones. Instead of piling them at the back of your house, you can use it to prevent soil erosion in the garden and have a nice path when you want to check your plants.

2. Create a decorative outdoor structure. Create a small well at the back of your house with your damaged bricks then you can surround it with flowers and lawn turf. You can elevate the ground and put your well on top of the elevated ground. If you want to put water in it, make sure that it will not leak and you can secure the brick-well with cement and grout. You can place a gold fish in it or simply leave it as it is for decoration. You can pour a little water and toss some coins to make it look like a wishing well.

3. Landscape. You can create a layered box in your garden by using the damaged bricks on the edges and plant different kinds of flowers on it. This will provide a tasteful look and style. You can create a huge pot and surround it with cracked bricks for support and decoration as well.

4. Creating nice and durable edges. If you are planning to install synthetic grass, you can use the damaged bricks for your edges and the small pieces for your base. Just make sure that they are durably installed so that your edges will not shatter or break.
