How to Add 3-D Texture to Your Photos

    Photoshop

    • 1). Open Photoshop on your computer.

    • 2). Click the "File" menu and choose "Open." Select a photo on your hard drive. Click the "Open" button.

    • 3). Click the "Filter" menu, then choose "Texture" and select "Craquelure" to add a 3-D effect to your photo that makes it look like old crackly paint on a rough stucco surface. Try other texture filters such as "Mosaic Tiles" and "Texturizer" to achieve other 3-D effects, then click the "Okay" button when you have found the texture you like best.

    • 4). Click the "File" menu and choose "Save As." Enter a new name into the "Name" field. Click "Save."

    • 1). Open your Web browser and naviate to Pixlr.com, then click "Open Image Editor."

    • 2). Click "Open Image From Computer" in the pop-up window that appears, then select the photo you would like to edit and click "Open."

    • 3). Click the "Filter" menu and choose "Emboss" to give a 3-D texture effect to your photo. Click the "Edit" menu and choose "Undo" to revert to the original image. Try out the "Engrave" and the "Find Edges" filters as well to see the results.

    • 4). Click the "File" menu once you have found the 3-D filter you like best, then choose "Save." Enter a new name for the photo in the "Name" field, then click and drag the "Quality" slider all the way to the right until it shows "100." Click "Okay" to save to your computer.

    • 1). Open your browser and navigate to LunaPic.com. Click the "Browse" button to search your computer's hard drive for a photo you would like to edit, then click "Open." Click the "Upload Now!" button.

    • 2). Click the "Effects" menu to reveal a pop-up menu of special effects, then choose "Pumpkin Carving" to transform your photo into a 3-D carving onto a pumpkin. Click "Undo This Operation" to revert to the original photo. Also try the "Lego Style" and "Water" effects to achieve different 3-D textures.

    • 3). Click the "File" menu and choose "Save Image" from the list of options that appears. Select "Save as JPG," then click "Okay" to save the image to your computer's hard drive.
