Glenville is a 50-square-mile town in Schenectady County in New York State, incorporated in 1821. Its population, which includes the village of Scotia, grew from about 18,000 in 1950 to 29,000 in 1970, and has practically remained the same since then. Attractions include a number of parks and preserves, and an 1825-built one-room schoolhouse.
