How to Get Relief When Surgery Hasn"t Helped Your Back

When you get back surgery and still hurt as much afterward as before, you have failed Back Surgery Syndrome.
One common cause of this is incorrect diagnosis.
There are several problems that are commonly mistaken for disk problems and frequently not diagnosed.
One is pain arising from the small joints on the backside of the spine, the facet joints.
Another is Sacroiliac Joint pain.
A third is neuropathic low back pain.
You care a lot less about labels than about getting better.
Another possible reason is just that the surgeon diagnosed the problem correctly, did what he believed was right, did it the right way, and you simply didn't get better, or got worse.
How do you get better now? First, consult an interventional pain specialist and get another opinion! Then, follow the advice you get.
If one surgery doesn't fix the problem, a second one probably won't either.
Even the surgeons are beginning to tumble to this.
You're going to hear a suggestion of a spinal cord stimulator.
These gadgets are absolutely wonderful! Consider Jamie.
She had a bad disk in her back and had surgery.
She did well at first, then slid back into symptoms as bad as or worse than before surgery.
She could barely walk! She was miserable! And even her family members were beginning to think she was crazy! I offered her a stimulator and she reached for the opportunity as fast as she could.
Once the stimulator was in place, she was a happy and grateful lady!
