- According to the Cleveland Clinic, a patient may be more tired than usual for a few weeks following an endovenous thermal ablation procedure.
- Patients may notice pain at the ablation site for a couple of weeks after a thermal ablation surgery.
- Abnormal bruising may occur at the site of a thermal ablation. The bruising normally clears up within two weeks of the procedure.
- In rare cases a thermal ablation patient may notice numbness or tingling along the shin for several days after the laser procedure.
- Thermal ablation patients run some risk of developing a blood clot in the veins near the treatment area.
