How to Move a Windows XP Tool Bar
- 1). Open an application such as Internet Explorer. Verify that no other instances of the application are running by checking the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. If you see other windows running the same application, close them.
- 2). Right click a toolbar to display a menu. If you see a "Lock the Toolbars" option on the menu, click "Lock the Toolbars" to remove the check mark from that option.
- 3). Click the dotted handle of a toolbar, hold down your left mouse button and drag the toolbar to a new location. The dotted handle is on the left side of a toolbar.
- 4). Right click the toolbar and click "Lock the Toolbars" to put a check mark by that option. This will lock again the toolbars.
- 5). Exit the application and reopen it. Verify that the application locked the toolbar.
