What to Consider When Choosing Your Wedding Photographer

By no means exclusive the following highlights from my experience what the 3 main considerations should be when choosing a wedding photographer.
Style One of the most important things to consider when choosing your wedding photographer is the style of photography.
Each wedding photographer will have their own individual style.
Initially it may seem that many of the wedding photographers whose images you have looked at share similarities but it is vitally important that you take time to pin point exactly what you want on your wedding day.
It is now very popular to book a wedding photographer who has a relaxed and unobtrusive approach whilst also being able to create great portraits and group shots.
Location Once you have booked your wedding photographer you will find that you may need to meet with him/her on a regular basis to discuss the wedding day and any other plans.
Therefore it is important that the photographer is actually based in your area.
Not only is this an advantage when it comes to meeting them but it also means that he/she will have a good knowledge of the surrounding area.
Locations such as Swansea are places full of iconic, picturesque landscapes perfect for your wedding photographs and if your photographer knows where these places are it's a great advantage.
Planning It is common practice for your wedding photographer to visit the location where you are getting married before the wedding just to get a few ideas of what and where would look good in a photograph.
He/she would need to brainstorm a few ideas so it is less work to do on the day of the wedding.
It would be beneficial for you as bride or groom to be to have a few places in mind where you would like to be photographed.
For example, in Swansea a very popular place to get married would be the Gower which is home to such famous views as The Worms Head.
You shouldn't have to worry too much about what photographs you want your photographer to take as that is obviously the photographers job, but with specific shots where the background is important there may be factors effecting the shot (for example, the position of the sun at that time of day).
All things considered I'm sure you'll have no problem getting great photographs of your wedding day.
My name is Luke Stanton and I'm a qualified wedding photographer based in Swansea, South Wales.
