How to Stop an Elliptical From Squeaking
- 1). Look under the machine and make sure the floor is level and the machine isn't sitting on anything such as cords. An uneven floor can cause squeaking.
- 2). Spray a lubricant onto the bolts on moving parts of the machine, such as the bolts connecting the handlebars and the foot pedals.
- 3). Put marine grease all over the rollers beneath the pedals. Marine grease lubricates open gears and can prevent squeaking.
- 4). Turn on the machine at a medium speed to spread the marine grease onto the rollers. Wipe up any grease that smears onto surrounding parts with a towel.
