How to Find an Inmate at an Oregon State Correctional Facility
- 1). Go to the Oregon Offender Search page online and agree to the disclaimer.
- 2). Enter the first and last name of the inmate. If you have the person's middle name, that will help narrow your search. If you have a partial name, enter what portion of the name you have followed by an asterisk (*). Enter the SID number if you have it as well. The SID is the inmate number. Select "Search."
- 3). Look through the list of results to find the inmate you're looking for. Each inmate is listed by SID, name and birth date.
- 4). Click on a result to find out more about the inmate. The inmate's physical description, crime, current location, admission date and earliest release date is listed.
- 5). Click on the listed location to get the address, phone number and visiting information for that facility.
- 1). Gather all inmate details -- first, middle and last name, SID number, birth date and date of arrest. You don't need all of this information, but if there are several inmates with the same name, extra details can help narrow the search.
- 2). Call or email the Oregon Department of Corrections.
- 3). Request information about an inmate and submit any information you have to help identify the inmate. A representative will assist you over the phone or email you details about the inmate's current location.
