FitFlop Boots and Shoes - Working Up Your Wardrobe
FitFlop clogs, shoes, sandals and boots have captured my heart.
They are cute, fashionable, and oh so comfortable.
Their advertising is cool and they do you good while you walk.
What's not to love? I became mad for FitFlops because of some kind of minor postural problem which made walking any distance painful for my left foot, not just in high heels but also in comfortable shoes or even in trainers.
I saw the FitFlop ads and decided to give them a whirl.
I was encouraged to have a go when I saw my beautifully slender advanced yoga teacher wearing them.
Her FitFlop sandals were obviously so easy to put on and off at the gym and if she recommended them they must be worth wearing.
My teacher tells you how to move by describing where to put your muscles so she knows her anatomy.
I made it my mission to find bargain FitFlop sandals, boots and shoes and create a whole wardrobe of them.
I wouldn't suggest you never wear another shoe brand but after living in the FitFlop sandals for the summer and moving on to boots for the winter and clogs indoors, that is tempting.
They are working my leg muscles at the same time as making my feet comfortable and adjusting my posture so I can make myself believe that I am exercising as I drift about at home or work, or walk outdoors.
There are other brands of shoes that do adjust posture and tone muscles - most notably MBTs (short for Masai Barefoot Technology).
And I have worn MBTs since the days when they were individually prescribed and fitted by alternative therapy specialists such as practitioners of the Bowen technique.
While they seem very effective, it has to be said that many people gave them up because they are heavy and very ugly.
I was among them.
With wider distribution the MBT company has clearly made efforts to improve their styling within the constraints of the product but, sadly, their looks are still less than stellar and the top price point can be an issue.
FitFlop shoes, clogs, thong sandals (or flip-flops as we say in the UK) and boots are cute and come in great colors including amethyst and their styles including super comfy Mukluk boots.
I live in them now! When you buy, be sure to check your sizing and consider sizing down if you have narrow feet.
