    Stained Glass Cross

    • A stained glass cross can be created out of waxed paper and crayons, and used to teach young children about Jesus. Place a sheet of waxed paper onto an ironing board. Grate colorful crayons onto the waxed paper. Place a second sheet of waxed paper over the top of the grated crayons. Heat an iron on the lowest setting. Once it's hot, iron the top of the waxed paper until the crayon wax inside melts. Allow the papers to cool completely. Once cool, cut out the shape of a cross. Punch a hole in the top of the cross using a single hole punch. Tie a piece of yarn onto the hole, and hang the stained glass cross up in a window.

    Handprint Dove

    • Children can learn about peace and the story of Noah while making a handprint dove out of construction paper. Press your hand onto a sheet of white construction paper. Trace around your hand with a pencil or a pen. Use scissors to cut the handprint out. Use a fine-point marker to draw an eye onto the thumb of the handprint. Draw a small wing onto the palm of the handprint. Use a single-hole punch to make a hole at the top of the dove. String yarn through the hole. You can make many different doves and string them together onto the yarn as a beautiful garland.

    Clay Bowl

    • Clay pots and bowls are often presented in the Bible. They can be created by children while they are hearing you read their lesson. Knead a four-inch ball of self drying clay for five minutes to get rid of air pockets. Separate the ball into three different balls. Roll each ball into a a long snake-like rope. Coil one of the ropes into a spiral. Wind another rope on top of the spiral. Wind the third rope in a similar fashion. Allow the clay to dry completely before painting it.
