Grow West Garden Fest


The Grow West Garden Fest invites the public to learn about health, nutrition, and gardening resources available in westside Salt Lake City neighborhoods.

These resources include community gardens, school gardens, workshops, youth activities, and organizations & businesses that support gardening practices. 

For event attendees who participate in event activities, free food will be served by El Ranchero Chido, a local taco cart.

Red Butte Garden Bulbs and Blooms Festival


This spring the Garden will boast a colorful array of over 450,000 blooming bulbs, with over 227,000 Daffodils and other bulbs including Allium, Anemone, Camassia, Cardiocrinum, Chiondoxa, Cyclamen, Galanthus, Hyancinth, Iris, and Muscari. Millions of tree blossoms such as the Garden’s glorious crabapple, magnolia and flowering pear collections will also dazzle the senses.

Recycling and Shredding at Station Park


Station Park on Park Lane in Farmington welcomes in spring with eco-friendly activities in celebration of Earth Day.

Recycling event at Harmons Station Park, Wednesday, April 22, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Mattress recycling courtesy of Spring Back Utah:  As a special offer Spring Back will recycle old mattresses for a nominal fee. They offer a half-off special. Any mattress/box spring set fee will be $10 instead of $20. Single pieces are $5. Cash is preferred but cards are also accepted.
  • Paper recycling free with Certified Shred / Western RecordsLimit one box of paper per person.
  • Car seat and bike helmets will be collected by the Safe Kids Davis County program.
  • Clothing/textiles recycling: any clothing is accepted and will benefit Big Brother, Big Sisters of Utah.

Draper City Earth Day Celebration


Draper City celebrates Earth Day with a huge recycling event at Draper City Park. Drive-through drop-off stations will be set up in the parking lot. Items such as paper, metal, computer equipment, televisions, oil, usable household items, clothing, toys and bicycles will be accepted.
