The difference between 7 Card Stud Poker and Texas Holdem is worth knowing by players who are eager to learn more about these 2 different variants of games. The only similar factor aspect between the 2 games is the fact that in both the games the player discreetly chooses the strongest hand. However, many still fail to recognize and acknowledge the difference between 7 Card Poker and Texas Holdem, it cannot be denied that the 2 poker games do come from separate families of games. The 7 card poker belongs to the Stud family, while Community Poker family bears the emergence of Texas Holdem. This obviously states about the different games rules and strategies involved in these 2 games of poker.

The first point of difference between the 2 games is the separate set ups for each type. In 7 card stud poker, all the players can play on the same table as each are given only 2 cards to start the game. Whereas, the players of 7 card stud are given 7 cards to deal with. Another difference between the two forms of games is the face up and face down formula. The two games follow different rules of showing hands and cards, which varies from 7 card stud poker and Texas Holdem. Both the games have different rules of making and showing their hands at the end of the games. In holdem, the players can make their hands at any point of the game, while in 7 card stud poker; the face down cards cannot be made until the end of the game.

The two games have different rounds of betting as well. the betting takes place in the initial phase, turn phase, flop phase and river phase, in the Holdem game, which signifies towards 4 rounds, wherein players indulge in placing bets. While the betting starts from the initial phase and the 4th, 5th and 6th street, following by the river phase, which indicates towards the 5 rounds, in which players place their bets in the game. In the 7 star stud poker, the player with the lowest face up card start with the betting. While in the Holdem, the player at the left side of the dealer does the first betting. However, the one thing which is common to both these games is the joy and strategy of winning and the necessary tactics needed for the same.
