How to Change the Combination on a Samsonite
- 1). Open the briefcase using the old combination, or if you purchased it new, 0-0-0 on both clasps. Leave the briefcase open and unlocked.
- 2). Press the unlock button toward the combination dial and hold it without releasing it. If your briefcase unlatches using a lever, depress it and hold it. Work on one lock at a time.
- 3). Select a combination that will be easy for you to remember but hard for others to guess.
- 4). Dial the new combination into the lock while keeping the latch-release button or level held open.
- 5). Release the catch mechanism when you arrive at the new combination. The lock will reset itself to use your new combination.
