    Antenna

    • If an antenna is connected to the TV, move the antenna to a different location. Move the antenna away from other electrical devices or turn those electrical devices off, as they may be interfering with the antenna's ability to pull in signals. Also, check to make sure the antenna is fully screwed in or pushed into the input on the back of the TV. If the antenna is not firmly connected, a blurry picture or no picture could be the result.

    Room Temperature

    • Turn the TV off if you are experiencing blurry lines, and there has been a recent and dramatic swing in the temperature in the room where the TV is located. Dramatic swings in temperature can result in condensation inside of the TV that interferes with the TV's electronic equipment and results in blurry lines. Leave the TV turned off for one day after the room returns to its normal temperature and then turn the TV back on.

    Source Input

    • Change the output on the connected source, if possible, to 720p if the source is currently outputting in 1080i. While the TV can display a 1080i signal, the display may appear blurry and may flicker periodically. If you cannot change the output signal on the external device, try using a different cable to connect the device to the TV, such as a standard audio/video cable.

    Aspect Ratio

    • Press the "ASPECT" button on the remote control to see a list of available aspect ratios. The JUST option displays a standard picture at its largest size in its optimum aspect ratio; 4:3 is a standard aspect ratio, ideal for viewing standard channels; ZOOM zooms in on the 4:3 image; and FULL stretches the left and right edges of the picture so the image fills the display without cutting off any part of the picture.

    Defective Lamp

    • Check the lamp indicator light to the right of the power light in the lower left corner on the front of the TV. If the light is staying solid red, the blurriness may be the result of the lamp reaching the end of its life expectancy and needs to be replaced. Alternatively, if the lamp indicator light flashes red once every five seconds, remove the front panel from the lower half of your TV, then remove the panel covering the lamp and check to make sure the lamp is securely seated in its slot. Replace the panels and try turning the TV on. If the TV is still blurry, replace the lamp.
